Frequently asked questions

what can i expect

Imagine this: You’re surrounded by soothing natural music when a dear friend arrives with a warm cup of ceremonial cacao. Together, you share a moment of eye gazing, gratitude and intention-setting before taking your first sip and dropping in.

With your friend’s gentle guidance, you close your eyes—feeling safe, supported and held. You’re led through a series of energetic practices that invite you to surrender, trust and embrace yourself with Love. Your friend walks beside you, knowing that peeling back layers takes courage, clarity and compassion. They sense when you need to pause, breathe, ground or receive a message from within.

As the music swells, you remain anchored in safety—free to cry, laugh, scream, ask questions or simply BE. By the journey’s end, you find yourself in a radiant, verdant space, bathed in warmth and light, embraced like a child in the arms of a loving mother. When you open your eyes, you feel reborn.

As you can see, you can expect a deep and transformative experience—one that guides you to the places in your life where you feel stuck, numb or unable to break through. Through tapping, breathwork and meditation, we clear the mind and body, creating space for healing and self-discovery.

You’ll be held in a safe, supportive space, allowing you to fully embrace whatever arises. Often, this means surrendering to emotions, releasing through tears and reconnecting with the magic that always exists at your core.

Ceremonies may include: EFT/tapping, meditation, gentle breathwork, somatic holds and movement, visualization, prayer, energy healing, plant medicine, Ayurveda, and more.

what makes it a ceremony

This is a beautiful question. At one point in my journey, I heard God speak two words to me: ceremony and mothering. I knew then that my purpose was to hold mothering ceremonies—for any body—because we all need more nurturing, softness and deep care. We all deserve to be held with tenderness, comfort and love. And more than that, I’m here to help awaken the capacity within You to hold yourself in this way.

What makes this a ceremony is, first and foremost, the energy and intention we bring to it. Your body is a Living Temple, Holy Ground, and it deserves to be honored with reverence. This sacred approach is at the heart of this work and what draws people to it.

Beyond intention, ritual is woven into our time together—whether through cacao, herbal alchemy or Ayurvedic tradition. Ceremonies are portals; we can feel them opening and closing, marking the sacred beginning and end of our journey together.

how do i prepare

The best way to prepare is with an open and willing heart. No words can fully capture this experience—you have to feel it. Come ready to dive deep, unafraid of the depths within you. For in the darkness of your being lies your most radiant light, and one cannot shine without the other.

On a practical level, you may also prepare by:
✨ Wearing comfortable, layered clothing to support temperature shifts
✨ Bringing a sacred object to place on the altar for charging during the journey
✨ Having water or herbal tea to stay hydrated and connected to your body
✨ Bringing a journal and pen for reflections and insights
✨ Bringing any personal items that bring you comfort, such as a small blanket, essential oils, or crystals
✨ Eating a light, nourishing meal beforehand to stay grounded but not weighed down
✨ Avoiding caffeine or heavy stimulants, allowing your nervous system to remain open and receptive
✨ Setting an intention for your journey—what are you ready to release or receive?

Most importantly, come as you are. This is a space for you to be fully held in all that you bring.

WHAT IS CACAO?

Ceremonial grade cacao is chocolate in its most raw, natural and unfiltered state. A high quality, very minimally processed, complex, nutrient dense superfood, it is within the top 10 whole superfoods on the planet.

It is in this state that cacao maintains its superfood status and bouquet of health benefits…

Theobromine - active compound in cacao: a gentle, long-lasting vasodilator (cardiovascaular stimulant) found almost exclusively in cacao that expands the blood vessels allowing a higher volume of blood to travel through the body; for this reason cacao lifts mood and energy, sustains mental clarity and focus, and can improve circulation and can have anti-inflammatory properties

Magnesium - an essential macro-mineral for bone and heart health, mental clarity and focus, carb and glucose metabolism and relief from constipation, PMS and anxiety

Flavanols - most abundant in cacao than in any other plant source, these antioxidants support cardiovascular and cognitive health through the support of nitric oxide production which relaxes blood vessels, improving blood flow and lowering blood pressure

Potassium - most abundant mineral in cacao and alongside flavanols helps lower blood pressure

PEAs - the love molecule, increases dopamine, enhances attention and elevates mood, supports oxytocin and allows space for deeper connection within oneself for deep inner work and with others in community

Anandamide - the bliss molecule, dancing with our natural cannabinoid receptors, may be why some express feelings of high, lightness and bliss

To top it off, cacao assists in lowering cortisol levels, mood and hormone balancing, enhances energy and sleep*, and boosts serotonin and dopamine.

Cacao is heart medicine, embodiment medicine, and gentle yet powerful medicine. The Chocolate Shaman, Keith Wilson, often said, “Cacao brings you to the door but doesn’t push you through it.”

It is said she emerges from the rainforest when humanity is out of balance with nature to bring us back into harmony with all of creation.

For all these reasons, I include cacao in most of my journeys with clients as it helps us both drop into our heart space, feel into our body, and listen deeply to the wisdom pulsating within. We can then easily release what no longer serves our highest good so that we can return home and embrace our innate freedom.

Can I drink cacao everyday? And, best time to drink it?

According to Camino del Corazon Cacao, and my personal experience, start slow, tune in to listen deeply to your body and let the Cacao Spirit guide you. Everyone’s relationship with cacao is different, and some use it daily in place of coffee and for a more intentional morning ritual; others drink cacao only in ceremony, or 3-5 times a week.

Drinking cacao in the morning is uplifting to the mood and enhances focus. It can be ingested midday for a heart expanding experience. And take caution when drinking cacao later in the day, as - although the caffeine content is very low - it may affect your sleep. I recommend a smaller dose for introspection, ritual or pairing it with nervine herbals for a gentle and relaxing night. Again, listen to your body as everyone’s experience is different.
