About Tata Carlos & Nana Vivi
Nana Vivi:
Vivian’s spiritual path began at an early age influenced by her upbringing with a Catholic mother, a medium grandfather of the Allen Kardec school of thought, and a father who believed the ocean and nature were his church.
While she dedicated a large part of her life to working for the public sector and raising her four children, she continued to pursue her passion for the mysteries of the universe, the connection with great spirit, and the path of helping others heal.
In 2015, she was initiated as a Reiki Master in the Usui Shiki Ryoho system of Healing by Charlotte Dummit. As she continued to grow her energy healing practice, the doors to a world of initiations, cultures, and ancient knowledge were open. She became carrier of the Munay Ki energy, guardian of the sacred womb, and initiate in the seven rites of the Nusta Karpay from Peru and as a Warmi Paqo of the Andean Tradition.
As part of her studies of the sacred cacao, and ancient cultures, she began to study the Mayan Cholq’ij and Cosmovision under the guidance of Tata Carlos Luis Urteaga – Ajq’ij Maya K’iche ‘of Totonicapán. In 2021, during a visit to McCloud Falls in Mt. Shasta she had a revelation about the Cholq’ij which called her to walk the sacred “Saq’Be”. In 2022, one year after her revelation, she was given the “envoltorio sagrado” by Tata Constantino Vazquez Zapeta “Tata Tino”, Maya K’iche’ elder of Totonicapán – becoming the first Cuban American Ajq’ij. At that time, the fire spoke out her mission: to seek the elders of all nations and inquire on the use of the herbs, the animals, the stones – and with that knowledge, serve the community as Lyom – partera – medicine woman.
In the years since then, Vivian has travelled receiving the knowledge of the Mapuches and Aymara from Chile through her Doula training in “Escuela Mujer Medicina”; the knowledge of the Muysca community in Colombia through her training in Birthing Temazcals and Postpartum medicine with Laura Torres; and of course, through the Mayan community of Nanas throughout Guatemala.
Vivian offers her healing services in her home in Miami which include Spiritual counseling, Z’ite readings, energy healing, woman health guidance, Doula services, woman rite of passage ceremonies, placental medicine and rituals, closing of cycles or mourning rituals, 21-day cacao healing programs, and cacao circles. Culminating her life’s work in the service of her community, the empowerment of the sacred feminine, and the remembrance of the ancient ways.

Tata Carlos:
Tata Carlos is a Guide of the Committed Mystical Spiritual Path.
He was born into a family rooted in the Andean Tradition of Peru. His maternal grandmother, Doña Paulita, was his first Teacher and guardian of wisdom, who guided him on this path since childhood.
With more than 65 years of practice in Andean Spirituality, Tata Carlos is recognized as a Kuraq Paqo of the Willka Wasi lineage of Peru, as well as a Master of the Northern Tradition and bearer of the “Cross of Motupe.”
In 2013, after going through a profound illness, he received in dreams a message from Pachamama, the Cosmic Mother, who indicated that he should continue his spiritual path in Maya territory. He then traveled to Guatemala, where he was first initiated as Guardian of the Sacred Cacao – Ixcacao, of the Kaqchikel lineage. During this pilgrimage through the villages of Lake Atitlán, the lake entrusted him with the 21-Day Healing of Ixcacao (Ixcacao Challenge). Later, he was initiated as Ajq’ij – Aj Poronel – Aj Kunanel, of the K’iche’ lineage, becoming a Guide of the “White Path (Sacred Saq’Be)” of Maya Spirituality.
He has also shared with Native Americans (Chiricahua Apaches, Lakotas), and he currently walks the Taíno Spiritual Path as a Caminante a Behique of the Círculo Caney lineage.
He is a Reiki Master of the Usui Traditional and Usui Tibetan lineages, bearer of the Munay Ki energy, and Guardian of the Sacred Womb.
Tata Carlos is recognized as a Chakaruna, the Bridge Man between Ancestral Traditions, called to expand the Maya Lineage and the Path of the Sacred Cacao in the United States, Canada, and South America.
He is the founder of Kinakunaj, of “Hummingbird of the Four Directions,” and of the “Mystical Path of Ixcacao – Integral Healing.”
With dedication and humility, he is devoted to transmitting the knowledge of the Andean Tradition, the Maya Wisdom, and the Committed Mystical Spiritual Path to all those who approach with respect, true interest, and a committed heart.
For more than 40 years he has upheld the mission of empowering the Sacred Feminine, and together with his community, he offers informative seminars, formative workshops, spiritual services, Ceremonies of the Sacred Maya Fire, and traditional offerings as needed, as well as personal consultations and guidance in the creation of Circles and Study Groups within the lineage of “Hummingbird of the Four Directions.”
